VIDEO: Get To Know Dr. Greg Liebscher
In this video, Dr. Liebscher shares his medical background, special areas of interest, and personal philosophy of care:
Insist on ‘Certified’ Plastic Surgery
You might ask “Isn’t every physician performing plastic surgery board-certified in plastic surgery?” The answer is, alarmingly, “No.”
In most states, a licensed physician may perform plastic surgery without being board-certified in plastic surgery. Just because a doctor is board-certified in their own discipline does not mean he or she is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
REDUCE YOUR RISKS
All members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The American Board of Plastic Surgery is the ONLY one of the 24 boards approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties that certifies physicians in plastic surgery of the face and all areas of the body.
What does that mean to you? Quite simply, choosing a board-certified plastic surgeon reduces your risks for any surgery complications.
To be board-certified in plastic surgery, a physician must meet these rigid requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited medical school
- Complete a combination of at least five years of general surgery and plastic surgery residency training
- Pass comprehensive oral and written exams
THE RIGHT TRAINING, THE RIGHT TOOLS
Besides certification, membership in ASPS requires a plastic surgeon to regularly attend continuing medical education courses and to adhere to a strict code of ethics. All ASPS members are required to perform surgery in accredited surgical facilities.
Why should you be concerned? While other non-board certified physicians are busy staying current with their primary practice, board-certified plastic surgeons are thoroughly up-to-date and aware of plastic surgery issues and advances in technology.
To make sure your plastic surgeon has these outstanding qualifications, look for his or her ASPS certification.
INSIST YOUR PLASTIC SURGERY IS PERFORMED BY A ‘TOP DOC’
Whether you’re considering cosmetic surgery to improve your appearance or reconstructive surgery to correct defects or improve function, you want the most satisfying and lasting results with the least risk. Insist on receiving your treatment from Dr. Greg Liebscher.
Dr. Liebscher is a board-certified plastic surgeon, Mayo Clinic-trained and recently selected as ‘Top Doc, Plastic Surgery’ for the El Paso County area by the Colorado Springs Business Journal, 2004. Dr. Liebscher was identified as a “Top Doc, Plastic Surgery’ in Style Magazine in 2011.
Patient Feedback
Here are what several patients have said about Dr. Liebscher:
“I just wanted to say a big “thank you” to Dr. Liebscher and staff for all the kindness and support during my recent surgery. Every womans worst nightmare is to hear the words “breast cancer.” Dr. Liebscher took the results of a double mastectomy, chemo, and radiated skin and made it look like an elective augmentation! I could not be happier with my new look and my great results. You guys are the best!!! Thank you again.”
“Dr. Liebscher is amazing. He explained the surgery and everything I would be going through very thoroughly in terms that I could understand. He answered every question I had with all the patients in the world. I was very nervous going into this not knowing if it was the right thing to do at my age and to this day (three months later) I can’t say enough about how comfortable Dr. Liebscher and his “whole” staff has made me feel. They are all wonderful and I would definitely refer Dr. Liebsher to anyone.”
“You can not find a better surgeon in Colorado. Dr. Liebscher is highly skilled, honest, compassionate, and humble. Talking to him is like talking to a very patient friend, he always makes time for you and makes you fill important. His staff, nurse, and all the other in the office are also skilled in their professions. They give everyone the filling that they are doing exactly what they love to be doing. I’ve recommended Dr. Liebscher’s office to so many friends for so many procedures, and they all thank me hearitly. Go there and feel welcome.”
“Dr Gregory Liebscher came highly recommended to me by my doctors, neighbors, and friends who know him as a colleague or as the doctor that transformed their lives. Now, Dr Liebscher has transformed my life. If you want a talented, compassionate surgeon who is surrounded by an amazing staff and will deliver fantastic results, your search is over.”
